Lancashire Abolished Lancaster's Slavery Town Trail

English

Lancasterís Slavery Town Trail

In 2006 Lancashire Museums, Friends of Lancaster Maritime Museum, Global Link and Dallas Road County Primary School worked with historical adviser Melinda Elder and artist Sue Flowers. Together they created a town trail exploring some of the buildings made possible by the wealth the Transatlantic Slave Trade and the West Indies Trade brought to Lancaster. The school also looked at the work of contemporary abolitionists and more modern anti-racist campaigners.
