 Surrey Farnham Museum

The Museum of Farnham is situated in an attractive Grade I Georgian town house dating from 1718, known as Willmer House. Many original features inside the house have survived intact and at the rear a charming walled garden complements the building. The museum was opened in 1961. It is run by Waverley Borough Council and in 1992 underwent substantial restoration work to preserve the fabric of this important building.

Since that refurbishment work, the Museum has won several awards and was specially commended in the prestigious European Museum of the Year Award
